There wasn’t a chance in hell we’d go back to the house and not get any comments…

Ty and I didn’t see the extent of…our physical state…until another outdoor shower had cleared the gin fog and washed us clean.

We had marks everywhere.

His back was so scratched up, he might as well call me kitty.

I was mildly embarrassed about that.

The corner of his lip was red where I’d bitten him. At some point, I’d scratched his neck too. And his chest. His thighs… Arms, ass, hands.

“I’m gonna say it was the lizard,” I said, stepping into a clean pair of boxer briefs.

Ty smirked. “Did the lizard choke you out too? You’re bruisin’ all over.”

Well, that was different. “No, that’s on you. But I look good. You look like I don’t trim my nails.” And I fucking did.

I was especially happy about the handprints he’d left on my thighs and hips. He claimed I had some on my ass too, but I’d need a mirror to see them. Same with the alleged marks on my throat—I needed to see them too. ASAP.

My third pair of shorts for the day followed, so at this rate, I would have to do laundry this week. But no tee, despite it being a little chilly. Ty had left some scratches too, and so had the monitor lizard, and fabric over protrusions in the skin was one of the most uncomfortable things ever.

Ty chuckled and nodded up the boardwalk. “Let’s get back to the others before I give you more bruises.”

Uh.

I stayed right where I was.

He grinned and rolled his eyes. “Today, short stuff. Gimme your towel. I’ll throw it on the deck when we pass the boat.”

Fine. If he insisted.

He kept his towel around him since he hadn’t brought a change of clothes. Bad planning, if you asked me. Every lizard hunt should result in sex and a new wardrobe.
